I really can't believe that we have been running this website for 10 years now - where has the time gone! I thoroughly enjoy updating the news every week and I certainly use all the history, statistics and archives to remind me of exactly what the kennel has achieved. I hope you enjoy using the website and am always ready to receive any comments you may have - good or bad!
There's no doubt that I was disappointed in seeing the Trainers Championship meeting title snatched from our grasp on Tuesday at Towcester but overall I was pleased with our team's brilliant effort and the fact it was such a good spectacle for our sport. Sky again really captured the excellent facilities and superb action from the night. I said before the meeting how open the whole event was and I knew it would be close, I never expected to win but with two legs to go we found ourselves 6 points in front of defending champion Kevin Hutton and Jimmy Wright but our last two runners were out of luck and Kevin pipped us by a point for a Towcester 1-2. The highlight of the evening for us was undoubtedly seeing Rubys Rascal
bounce back to form when landing the 655m in a fast 38.98 just a length outside the clock and also the performance of Kingdom Legend in the puppy race who showed terrific pace and promise to go down by a head. Both Roswell Iceman and Ribble Aon ran corkers when 2nd scoring good points and Ela Ela Genie chipped in when 3rd in the sprint but in the end we were one point short of tying with Kevin and two points short of winning.
We have had a cracking first three months of the year so we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves for Tuesday especially as while the championship was going on over at Sheffield the Markwallisgreyhounds Racing Club Bitch Saffrons Tina ran a great race to qualify for the Three Steps To Victory final when she was 3rd in her semi final beaten just under 2 lengths. It's a great final and she will be the outsider of the field but many of our members will travel up and who knows we might surprise a few people, with the short run to the bend over the 660m trip anything can happen and a ping break from Tina might make it very interesting with some doubtful stayers in the final. Our Racing Club will go from strength to strength so if anyone is interested in joining feel free to contact us.
We have some good supporting runners on the card tomorrow night including Rubys Rascal and Calco Flyer who was forced to miss the Trainers Championship race with a touch of kennel sickness but is in good order now. On a busy night we make a rare trip to Harlow with the first running of the Category 1 Tigerloanscompany.com Gold Cup. We will have three high class runners with Roswell Romanov, Rubys Razzle and Garryglass Champ (Roswell Red Kite will be a non runner) taking their chance. All trialled very well on Friday over 415m though as usual it's typical that Razzle and Romanov are drawn together in their heat but hopefully both will qualify safely.
After Tuesday's Trainers Championship races at Towcester there was a fine win for a Ribble Atom over the tough marathon trip in 53.06. On Friday we had high hopes of landing a few winners at Romford but it seemed like we were having one of those weeks. Both Muchas Gracias and Brynoffa Jasmin were well beaten in their finals when failing to lead, Tiffield Lad, Adageo Gold and Clondoty Alex ran very well when second and thankfully Airforce Duchess saved the day with an excellent win over 575m in 35.62. On Saturday Ferryforth Fran returned to Towcester and ran well when 3rd in a 686m open.
At the weekend Swift Cody was our only winner on the morning card scoring well in 29.24. In the evening both Cousin Dupree (3rd) and Union Pride (2nd) ran well before Airforce Karla signed off a fine career winning in a D2 in a fast 15.41, she will be off to the breeding paddocks. Swift Henryopened up his account with a fine win in an A6 beating kennelmate Swift Cobra in 28.58. Farran Kilcoyne was 2nd as was a Famias Hope who was just touched off in an A3 in 28.28.
PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK

WHAT'S ON NEXT WEEK
A busy night ahead tomorrow as we travel to three tracks. Saffrons Tina goes in the Three Steps To Victory final at Sheffield with a few supporting runners, the Gold Cup starts at Harlow and big guns Roswell Romanov, Rubys Razzle and Garryglass Champ head a decent entry and we have quite a few runners at Towcester.
We will have a few runners at Romford on Friday and Henlow on Sunday.
WEBSITE RECOMMENDED BETS
So so close on Tuesday with our bet on us to win the Trainers Championship meeting just going down. Picking ourselves up this week is not hard as we travel to Sheffield and Harlow where we have to have a bet in the Gold Cup starting tomorrow. Roswell Romanov is likely to be ante post favourite for us and any price over 4/1 is worth taking but for a bit of value Garryglass Champ is still slightly unexposed and could be a spot of value.
GARRYGLASS CHAMP - 2 pts ew ante post - Tigerloanscompany.com Gold Cup - Harlow - starts Tuesday
ADVISED LAST WEEK
MARK WALLIS - 5 pts win - Trainers Championship meeting - Towcester - Tuesday - lost
