Considering it took 'Betty' 11 attempts to get off the mark when known as Night Night, this daughter of former kennel star Kinda Sleepy has done remarkably well winning on no fewer than 9 different tracks over a variety of distances. Her first win came when successful over the trip in a 640m Maiden Stayers open at Walthamstow beating the useful Baby Marge by 1/4 length in a good 39.77 (+15). From then on Gavin Cheeseman's black bitch has not looked back.

After following up with a win at Coventry over the 625m trip season intervened but wins in A4 and A3 at the Stow on her reappearance gave us a sign of what to expect. A heavy defeat at the difficult Hove was followed by a 28.80 victory back at Walthamstow. Well fancied for the Oaks after a convincing first round win she was disappointingly eliminated at the Quarter Final stage. Also after a loss at Romford in her first attempt she bounced back to a smart 35.33 victory in the heats of the Coronation Cup and after winning her semi she was made a 4-6 fav for the £3,000 final but got no sort of run when back in 3rd.

Undoubtedly her finest moment came two months later when lifting the £5,000 to the winner Spring Festival Stayers crown at Monmore scorching home in 38.06 at juicy odds of 10-1. A five timer in April saw her at the top of the open racer winning table and all in all 16 open wins in the year made her our Website Greyhound of the Year for 2008.

This year a couple of niggles have held her back a little but at the time of this write up she has added another 5 opens to her name and with her half brother Kinda Ready doing so well and being a live Derby hope Genesis Dream is shortly going to be retired to the breeding paddocks where her future pups will be much sought after.
