Strapping son of a rarely used stud dog who started his career in opens at Walthamstow but gained his first win in an A4 back in March 08 at the third attempt. Struggled to cope with a rise in class running against the likes of Fear Zaffonic and Jesters Nap and went 11 races with out winning but steadied the ship with a puppy open win in June at the Stow and then followed up in July with two A1 victories. Looked like he was going to find it hard when Walthamstow shut after failing to score on his travels at Harlow, Yarmouth and his first run at Coventry but a win at the Brandon Road track in October saw this late developing dog turn his career around winning a further two opens at the track and then in the heats of the Winter Festival at Monmore over 480m he beat the useful Shadayid in a career best 28.06 and then won the £1,000 final battling hard to lead at the third bend and hold off the challenge of Barrie Draper's Droopys Billy by 1/4 length in 28.47. He will now be aimed at the Birmingham Cup at Perry Barr this month but whatever his fate he looks sure to give his owners plenty of open wins and could yet win a bigger competition with his fantastic middle pace his main armoury.
